ABOUT
Food photography, portraits, still lifes and advertising photography.
Welcome, wilkommen, velkommen!
My name is René Riis, I am a photographer specialized in food and liquids.
I am also booked again and again because, I do not only take pictures of food and drinks, but I can also combine them together with people. These can be chefs, winemakers, advertising testimonials or models, whole groups, in the studio, restaurant or, on location.
The best solution for every kind of food photography
I work according to an exact layout e.g. for advertising agencies, but I can also improvise if desired. It is important for me to offer the best solution for the customer and develop a unique, recognizable look for every assignment. Goal-oriented, organized, I work with or without a team. I can put together the best team for the job in question for you. I try to take the customer's perspective of what his goal is. Nothing is too difficult to find the right solution for the job. I am a creative partner, experienced, solution-oriented, efficient, and have a good sense of humor.
Food photography with moving images and videos
Moving Images are new to my website and portfolio. I offer short, focused videos of food or beverages that can be easily integrated into the websites and social media channels of my customers.
For restaurants and hotels, I can offer everything you need for photos: everything to eat and drink, reportage photos e.g. B. in the kitchen, interior in the restaurant or hotel room, portraits, and team photos. With the team from the Hotel "Traube Tonbach" with the "Schwarzwaldstube" (3 * Michelin), I developed and implemented such concepts or the restaurant "Horvath" (2 * Michelin).
My advertising customers
They include Coca-Cola (the current campaign Germany), McDonald's, Aldi ("Aldinativlos"), Edeka, or Panasonic. I regularly work for magazines such as BEEF!, Stern, GEO, The Table, Essen & Trinken, or Gastro (Denmark), Australian Gourmet Traveler (Australia), GQ, and Wallpaper (Great Britain), Figaro or "Elle Decoration" (Japan).
My portfolio includes more than 30 cookery and wine books, some of which have won awards, such as "KuK", the first cookbook by Sebastian Frank (Horváth), or the book "My Hongkong" by Alvin Leung ("The Demonchef", 3 * Michelin).
In addition to my commercial assignments, I dedicate myself to my personal projects: for the Museum of Natural History in Copenhagen, exhibitions like "In your face" in cooperation with the restaurant "Tulus Lotrek" (1 * Michelin) or the exhibition "Seven deadly sins".
